Summer Coffee Drinks

Most summer drinks call for ice cubes. Consider making your ice cubes using brewed coffee. That way your drinks will have added flavor and won’t get watered down.

 

Iced Moccachino

  1. Cold coffee
  2. ½ tsp vanilla extract
  3. 1 tsp cocoa
  4. ¼ tsp cinnamon
  5. 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  6. Shot of espresso (optional)
  7. One large cup cubes

Put ice in blender. Add the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.

Iced Caramel Coffee

  1. Cold coffee
  2. ½ cup caramel syrup

Add caramel syrup to the coffee. Stir well to dissolve the caramel completely.

For an added touch, add ½ tsp cinnamon to the coffee BEFORE brewing.

Iced Chai Coffee

  1. Ground coffee – enough to make 4 cups
  2. 4 tbs heavy cream
  3. 4 tbs granulated sugar
  4. 2 tsp ground cardamom
  5. 1 tsp almond extract
  6. Ice cubes, crushed

Sprinkle ground cardamom into coffee grounds. Brew coffee as usual. When finished brewing, add almond extract and sugar. Stir until dissolved. Cool mixture. Add crushed ice to 4 large coffee cups until half full.  Fill cups with coffee. Add cream.

Iced Café au Lait

  1. 2 ¼ cups cold brewed coffee
  2. 2 cups crushed ice
  3. Ice cubes
  4. 2 cups whole milk (substitute 2% if preferred)

Place all ingredients into blender. Blend until frothy. Add ice cubes to coffee mugs. Pour mixture into mug.
